Our history

Since it was founded in 1960, everything at Horst Gutberlet's Nuremberg company has revolved around pens. Many innovations and patents can be traced back to his ideas. In 1987 the “felt pen for the eye”, the liquid eyeliner based on the capillary system, and two years later the Mono- / Twinmatics with the clever refill system.

The launch of the liquid eyeliner, which was revolutionary at the time, became a global success and over the years the Nuremberg manufacturer has been producing cosmetics for well-known labels in the whole world.

His son Michael acquired the naming rights from Kaweco in 1994; from now on the iconic Heidelberg pen will be produced in Nuremberg. He and the young, third generation of the Gutberlet family, Christiane and her brother Sebastian, succeeded in an international relaunch by launching a retro series with a focus on the Kaweco Sport design from 1935.

Our philosophy stands for new and further development of innovative cosmetic products in pen shape, as well as packaging units for decorative cosmetics - with high functionality and easy handling.

Our claim is the highest quality. All products are manufactured according to the latest cosmetics guidelines and are "made in Germany".
